Create Awareness
Through organized events across Canada, volunteers help to raise awareness and distribute information about lung cancer to the public.
Work with Lung Cancer Canada to host a lung cancer awareness display at a local hospital, library, school or shopping centre during November-Lung Cancer Awareness Month or any time of year. Book a LCC display board early to avoid disappointment.
Consider asking your Mayor or MPP or MLA to officially proclaim a Lung Cancer Awareness Day or Week or Month. Call LCC for sample letters.
Become a LCC ambassador and connect with your local hospital oncology social worker or Patient Educator to ensure LCC newsletters and info sheets are available to patients. Contact LCC for more information.
Join your local walks or runs as LCC ambassador and carry the LCC banner and wear LCC T-shirts.
