Our MLA Awareness Reception delivered important messages of hope, encouragement and promises to do better addressing the disparities that surround this disease. LCC would love to host more LCPS in local regions across Canada. The Lung Cancer Patient Summit (LCPS) - Halifax is a patient conference and MLA cocktail reception held at the Delta Halifax – Baronet Room in downtown Halifax, 3:00 pm 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 and is free to attend! The LCPS will feature educational sessions, inspirational speakers and the opportunity to connect with people from across the province who have had a lung cancer diagnosis. This is a unique conference that will educate, empower and create a community of support for lung cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. Discussion Topics Include: New Hope in Lung Cancer - chaired by Dr Stephanie Snow New Treatments Overview - advances in screening, radiation oncology, surgery and pharmacotherapy Participating in Clinical Trials Living with Lung Cancer - chaired by Dr Drew Bethune Exercise Navigating Lung Cancer Services Psychosocial Supports Cocktail Reception with MLA's Get Involved Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health Give a Breath 5k Lung Cancer Patient Summits - Hope is Here.
