Living with Lung Cancer

glossary-final-(1).png

A lung cancer diagnosis and the treatments that follow are a heavy burden to carry. Although it may feel like it at times, you should know that you do not have to carry this burden alone. Your family and friends want to be there for you and help you in meaningful ways during this difficult time. Sometimes, those around you may not be sure of what they can do, but they do very much want to help. Reach out and ask for help. Do not isolate yourself. Let people know what you need and when you need it. It could be anything from going with you to a doctor’s appointment, to getting some groceries, to picking up the phone when you need someone to talk to. You can also get help from the many organizations and services that specialize in assisting people who have cancer and their loved ones.
