Lung Cancer Awareness Month takes place in November, which means it's right around the corner! This year, thanks to our great community of volunteers, Lung Cancer Canada is going to be hosting or participating in a number of events aimed at raising awareness for those affected by lung cancer. An Evening of Hope Gala 2015



 

Lung Cancer Canada is proud to announce our 5th annual gala to further the fight against lung cancer! An Evening of Hope - Toronto, 2015 will celebrate hope, survivorship, and the major scientific progress being made against Canada's most common cancer. If you are in the Toronto area on Thursday, November 12, please join us at The Bram and Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library at 789 Yonge Street from 6:00 to 9:00 inraising funds to conquer lung cancer. This recognition event is aimed at engaging and honouring Canada's leaders in business, media, policy-makers, pioneers in lung cancer research, and, most importantly, Canadians living with lung cancer and their families.
 
The event features music by Joseph Neale (lung cancer survivor), and fundraising games such as theWall of Wine anda Silent Auction with some amazing prizes, all to raise money and hope in the fight against lung cancer!Tickets are $100, with all proceeds going towards funding Lung Cancer Canada programs and initiatives.

We Need Volunteers!
 
For An Evening of Hope - Toronto, 2015, we are looking for volunteers to help run registration tables, info booths, fundraising games, coat check, etc.If you are able to help any time from 3 pm onwards on November 12, and you can get to the Toronto Reference Library, then please contact us.
 
Feel free to spread the word to friends or family who might be interested in helping out — The more the merrier! We are happy to give high school studentsa letterof confirmation of their volunteer hours earned.

An Evening of Hope - Ottawa, 2015

 

 

 

If you are in the Ottawa area on Thursday, November 19, please come out forthe third annualcocktail reception in support of Lung Cancer Canada --An Evening of Hope - Ottawa, 2015. This year it is being held at the Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This event needs your help to raise awareness and much needed funds for lung cancer research and treatment.
 
Tickets for the 2015 event are $100 per person if purchased before November 5. Tickets will be $120 if purchased after November 5, and can be purchased online or by cheque.
