$100,000 CAD to be awarded to help improve key gaps in lung cancer care
L’an dernier, Mike Bossy, légende du hockey, est décédé d’un cancer du poumon métastatique, 6 mois après le diagnostic. En sa mémoire, la famille Bossy a créé un fonds commémoratif pour sensibiliser le public au dépistage précoce et sauver des vies.

On January 14th, 2023, Lung Cancer Canada was invited to the UBS Arena as part of the New York Islanders Legends Night for Mike Bossy. As part of our invitation, our president Dr. Stephanie Snow was asked to participate in a 2 minute interview to share LCC's mission and our relationship with the Bossy family.
Thank you to the New York Islander's for hosting us, and the Bossy family for your support and dedication to honouring Mike.
La famille Bossy et Cancer pulmonaire Canada ont le grand plaisir d'annoncer le lancement du Fonds commémoratif Mike Bossy. D'une importance extrême, cette initiative a pour ambition d'accroître le soutien, la sensibilisation et la pédagogie en français au dépistage du cancer du poumon au Québec.
A new fund established to honour former NHLer Mike Bossy will help improve support and awareness for lung cancer in Quebec. This extremely important initiative will be launched alongside The Bossy Family and Lung Cancer Canada with the purpose of increasing French-language support, awareness, and education of lung cancer screening in the province of Quebec.
